Our friend (and new author!) Marie Cheslik is renowned in many galaxies for her blind tasting, and she's joining us for a tell-all workshop on a key concept: Old World versus New World wines. It's an angle Marie uses every day to determine what a wine will taste like, and it even helps her guess correctly on blind tasting. It's a core concept in her fresh new book, too.
You'll taste two pairs of Old and New World wines, learn the basics of blind tasting with Marie, and talk in-depth about the "tells," or characteristics of each category. And because we'd hate for you to do that on an empty stomach, we'll pull some on-theme Old and New World snacks from our cheese case.
If you'd like to go home with a copy of Marie's book, How to Read a Wine Label, let us know as you check out. We'll make it happen.

ABOUT MARIE
Marie Cheslik is a sommelier, 60-second-blind-taster on social media, nurse, and author of her new book, How to Read A Wine Label.
Have you ever bought a wine purely based on the label (be honest, it's okay)? For most people, it’s the only clue they have to decide if they’ll like that wine or not. Wine labels represent a place, a story, and a riddle all wrapped in one. They intimidate everyone when you start, but knowing some building block concepts and keywords will give you the tools to know what a wine may taste like without even opening it. That's where How to Read A Wine Label comes in.
